About Mercia Grant
Mercia Grant is a Baldwinsville, New York resident who has maintained a focus on giving back to the community through the decades. Nonprofits Mercia Grant supports include the Easter Seals and Boys Town, as well as St. Joseph's Indian School. She is also a longtime contributor to the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Paralyzed Veterans Of America.
In memory of her grandson, Ms. Grant is a contributor to a number of suicide prevention groups, and she regularly supports fundraising efforts of the Liverpool High School Warriors Marching Band.
Ms. Grant is also a contributor to fundraising activities centered on Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC), which took the life of her young granddaughter Lily Mercia Sateriale in 2012. She has assisted in the planning process for events such as Lily's Irish Party and Lily's Walk for Answers, both of which raised money for the SUDC Foundation and Robert's Program at Boston Children's Hospital.
Mercia Grant is also active with organizations such as the American Legion and the Ancient Order of Hibernians, an Irish Catholic fraternal group.
